The next layer for the co-sleeper, provided by my mother….
First came the sheets and then a blanket and now this gorgeous afghan!
I picked out the yarn ages ago (they are all color-grown organic cotton) and we decided on the pattern together when Mom was up for their holiday visit last year. The finished product was gifted to Galen at Christmas this year.
I love, love, love it! I think it turned out wonderfully, and the Goosey-boy quite agrees.
Contrary to what these pictures seem to show, it really is perfectly shaped. It’s just that after washing it this last time, Steve tossed it over the line to dry, when really I should have taken the time to block it nicely. Oops.
Kind of makes me want to pick up a crochet hook again and give it another go…
(or maybe I’ll just buy my mom some more yarn while dropping some less then subtle hints…hmm…)
So pretty! I love the colors; they’re so soothing.
I love the blanket! I’ve been working on bags using that type of square…you just gave me an idea for a quick little blanket for my girls to drag around and cuddle with
That blanket is just beautiful. I love that colorgrown organic cotton – so soft.
Enjoy.
Oh that’s gorgeous!!
those colors are so lovely and warm, to make the blanket even warmer.
No nice.
Wow, that is truly gorgeous…
hmmm… wonder where my crochet hook is, maybe I can finally figure out how to use it…
