Coming down to the line now, with a mere 5 days until the blessing and 6 until Easter. We’re into the prioritizing phase, “Ok, what do I really have to finish?!?”
Which is then followed by the buckling down phase, which…
involves a lot of tea. A lot. Don’t ask me why, but when I’m on a deadline I drink tea. It’s just want I do. I know what you are thinking, that I must need the caffeine to get me through those late nights. That would make sense. But no, it’s all caffeine-free herbal tea flowing around here, my current blend of choice being Tulsi Tea Licorice Spice by Organic India; a little treat picked up for me by my sweetie. Nope. It’s more about the ritual. That’s just how I start a marathon sewing session. I clear the table, set up my supplies and plop down a pot of tea. And once I feel like I’ve accomplished something, I go and brew another as both a break and a reward. On some nights it’s another and yet another… It keeps me going.
Now if you’ll excuse me, the kettle is whistling, so I must be off!
A glass of tea, a sewing machine, and sun coming in the window – what more could you ask for?
I love your tea pot. And your glass. Can’t wait to see the results of your marathon tea-sewing session(s).
