I just finished reading Knitting Rules!: The Yarn Harlot’s Bag of Knitting Tricks. I think it would be a wonderful edition to any knitter’s library.
The pattern for this adorable sunsuit was translated from Norwegian. The title of this post is how it concludes. It’s possible that I walked around the house for like a week telling everyone to, “happy go knitting!” and giggling.
I left off the ribbing around the legs. I don’t really know why. I just thought it was fine without it. I added in some extra room at the bottom to make sure it would easily fit over a big cloth diapered bum. As it turns out, I don’t actually think it was necessary, but this way she’ll probably get an extra year of wear out of it.
It’s so lovely!! And red really suits your dark eyes little beauty.
I’m wanting to do some suits similar to this for Birdie to wear this winter over her clothes, instead of a vest- I imagine it would keep her core nice and warm!

Those shoes were Mairi’s and her absolute favorites at the time. She used to carry them around the house with her!
I know just what you mean about the little suits. I’m kind of obsessed with little romper-y things at the moment. This one has been layered over tights and a shirt several times now. She’s slowly adding more patterns and slowly adding English translations for them all. Currently there is only one playsuit in English, but it is very sweet. It’s to be Seraphina’s birthday “sweater” this year.
