This post comes with a big disclaimer. Mostly for my mother’s sake. In the following photos, the Wee Girl looks so ridiculously old! I mean startlingly so, and I’m not quite sure how that happened.
Consider yourself warned.
My first completed project for the Kid’s Clothes Week Challenge…
Pattern: Kwik Sew 3035, View A, altered to make an approximate 24 month size (the pattern only goes up to 18)
Fabric: Peach Medallion Bloom from Sandi Henderson’s Farmer’s Market line. I am in love with this fabric right now, it *is* summer.
On a side note, I have a bunch of this fabric. Originally I thought I would make dresses for both Rosebud and I, but now that her dress and bloomers are done, I don’t think these is enough for an entire dress for me. So, what do you think? Skirt or top??
Yesterday I was so worried about finishing this up while there was still light to photograph it. But I didn’t manage to get back to it until late in the day, when the sun was low in the sky. The result was all of these naturally washed out, noisy pictures with all sorts of slanting sunshine, that suit this project, and this girl, just perfectly.
This looks really nice. I love the back of the dress with those buttons, So pretty!
You should make yourself a skirt with this fabric i think!!
Another wonderful piece of work ( clothes and kid). You forgot in your disclaimer to mention her extreme cuteness. I was not fully prepaired P.S. go for a nice summery blouse. The colors would go great with your eyes and hair. And it’s not purple.
