For sanity’s sake, I scaled way back on the home-made gifts this year. In some cases I let others do the making for me (more on that in a future post). And other times I just tried to find simple ways of producing a creative and heartfelt gift. Such was the case with my father’s present. He’s a lover of all things winter, and especially snow, living in an area that seems to rarely see more then a dusting. He’s always pleased to have a chance to romp about in our powder and the kids are always coming up with elaborate theories as to how to send some snow home with Pop-pop. Well, I decided to find a way, in a sense anyhow…
I framed a collage I designed using some of my favorite snowy scene photographs from over the years. The layout didn’t quite turn out as I wanted it, but I still think it looks pretty striking when hung on a wall. And Pop-pop finally got to bring a bit of snow home after-all.
hey
when I get the chance, I love coming here. I love seeing the snow and hearing your thoughts and seeing your crafts, family, etc.
Thanks for writing.
