While I still can’t show you the gifts that I’ve been working on, I can show you how I’ve been wrapping them up.
Natural, unbleached muslin folded around and tied up with raffia. It’s ridiculous how much a simple package like this pleases me, right down to the washed and worn look of the muslin, with it’s slightly frayed, unfinished edges…so earthy and understated. I believe that wrapping paper is going to forever seem gaudy after this.
Simply lovely!
Give me brown paper and fabric tied with twine anyday.
Can’t wait to see what’s inside…
That looks so nice. I’ve been sewing little fabric bags for ages with strict instructions that all family members must hold onto them in the hopes that we will someday have a wrapping paper free Christmas. Can’t wait to see what is in your sweet package!
Oh that is so lovely, wrapping paper does seem complete overkill doesn’t it. I love looking at pictures of your little house and the snow … it looks idyllic.
Ahahahaha! I got one of these!! and the fingerless gloves inside were the best birthday present ever! Stephen J. is sooooo jealous.
