Stopping in with a bit of pink this morning! I’ll be back in a bit to post my yellow. I’ve gotten a late start today as Galen and I spent a good long time this morning laying in bed talking of gardens. He would very much like one of his own this year.
I really must hang a hook somewhere on a wall that doesn’t clash with everything!
This was the wee-girl’s Valentine’s Day gift.
She’s very excited about it!
Alright, maybe not so much.
The pattern came from Amy Butlers “Little Stitches for Little Ones” (thank you kindly, inter-library loan). This one is the Comfy Jumper. Oddly there are no front views of it in the book (?). I have to say I kind of love it! While I was making it I thought it would make a fabulous toddler dress, but that it was probably going to be pretty ridiculous on a newborn. And maybe it is, but I think I love it anyway, especially the puffy skirt and pleats!
The bodice is an older Amy Butler print and the skirt is an organic flannel (also from that big box of fabrics that I’m sure you are all sick to death of hearing about). And it’s lined with a natural organic flannel, making it very warm and soft and cozy, especially over longies and a wool shirt.
I tried to make it big, but as it turns out it fits exactly as it’s supposed to (MÃ iri my darling, I hate to bring this up, but you are one and a half month
not six to nine months and didn’t we have a talk about staying little for a while? You know, for Mommy’s sake??)
So sweet!
What a beautiful dress! I would love to have that for my daughter.
Beautiful dress on a beautiful baby!!! Especially th eyawning picture…just gorgeous!!
beautiful! and im jealous of your beautiful lazured walls!
beautiful baby in an beautiful dress!!!
And she is going to grow even faster because of that little talk you had with her both my girls have ignored that talk.
So cute! And I can certainly relate to your comments on baby size with a 4 month 18 pounder wearing 9-12 month clothes!
So sweet! My little girl has already been far beyond the size that’s supposed to match her age (she was in a 2T at 10 mos old!).
Cute!
Look how alert she is getting.
You know Mama, she didn’t start out little. Oh yes, I’m sure you know.
That same hanger has held my baptism dress for 28 years. Last month I took it down from the closet to baptise my own new baby. What fun to see it in someone else’s home holding sweet things for a treasured baby
