Day five

Iain is all covered in spots from head to toe, but handling really well. He had about half an hour last night where he freaked out and started screaming about being itchy and begging for me to do something. I gave him a bunch of herbs to take and put him in a bath of chamomile and baking soda. He’s been perfectly fine since then. In fact he says that they don’t even itch. He slept straight through the night without any problems and is acting like today is just any other day.

Not much going on with the little guys. I really wish they would break out now. I don’t want to have to wait through another incubation period and have to keep everyone cooped up inside again. I’d rather just have it over and done with.

I’m still really tired. I don’t know why I’m so tired lately…I ended up falling asleep while nursing the baby this afternoon.

I’ve been working on a doll for Elijah, that he designed. It’s going to be interesting. I’ve never worked with this pattern or these materials before. I’m having trouble with the wig. I tried several times to crochet it, but it’s been many years since I’ve done any crocheting and I only had very basic skills to begin with. I’ve been having trouble getting the shaping correct. Finally out of frustration I just knitted a cap. Now that it’s done I’m wondering if it’s going to be too stretchy to hold the hair in place. I haven’t tried it yet, so I’m not sure, but I suspect it’s going to be a problem.

I started Steve’s Valentine’s Day present today. I’ll have to post the details at a later date in case he decides to stop by my blog for some reason. Now I just have to convince the kids to keep quiet about it.

I just found out today that a friend of mine had a beautiful baby girl! She’s so sweet (I got to see pictures). Iain and Elijah have already made a bunch of pictures for her. They went through a bunch of knitting books, that I happen to currently have out from the library, and helped to pick out a gift for her. Her name is Rosa. Right now we are leaning towards a wrap sweater with red and pink rosebuds, as that seemed appropriate :) .

I wish we could get the pox.

Wanna have them suck on something and send it south??

BTW – you’ve been tagged. Check out my blog if you want to play.

I’d probably get arrested for improper handling of medical waste or attempting to infect postal worker or something! LOL

Off to check out the rules of tag…
