A Little Pink for Me

A quick little hat for me. I still like my Gretel, but found it far too heavy for indoor wear or use on days that were less then bitterly cold. So, another, lighter, easier to wear hat was in order.

This is the ever popular Felicity made with another Becky yarn. She gave me a whole bag right after Mairi was born and I’m still making my way through it. This one is Valley Yarn’s Deerfield, which is one of my all-time favorite yarns (color: ballet slipper). I seriously love this stuff. It’s the yarn that I used for the Wee Girl’s blanket.

And here am I, looking just a worn and tired as I feel at the moment.

Honestly, I picked this yarn, for this hat, solely because I wanted the pleasure of working with it right now. It’s so soft and lovely and yes, comforting

I love that hat! I'm just getting ready to work up one for myself, too. I am glad you can find some comfort in the pleasure of something as small as the feel of yarn through your fingers. I just finished a sweater for my son I've dubbed The Stress Sweater because it felt like the stress of our situation was spooling out of me as I worked. Such a relief. Peace and well wishes from a long-time lurker.

Gosh, you look lovely in pink!
I tried making the felicity hat for myself, and it was way too tight for my head. Either my head is huge (um, yes) or the pattern runs small. . .did you find that it runs small? Maybe you have a small head?

Simple, but beautiful! And that color suits you so well. I'm afraid I would have an expression somewhat similar if I let anyone near with a camera :)
