Remember this little spring jacket (and that squishy tiny baby who is suddenly so big)?? It’s seen a whole lot of wear since that post. But as you can probably tell from these pictures, it really is getting too small now. I’m in love with this pattern (it’s the first link on that page), sweet scallops, pointy hood and all, from the same issue. I’m just itching to make one up, in the proper size.
Oh, but my sewing queue is so very full right now. And I don’t think I have any appropriate fabrics for it. Moving was a real eye-opener for me fabric wise. Somewhere around the third hip high box, I started to question some of my shopping practices. Ever since then I’ve been on a self-imposed fabric buying strike. If I don’t have something to suit the project, I don’t make it, pure and simple (mostly).
And she does still have both her poncho and this yellow sweater (recently darned! I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to learn to darn! Who knew it was so very simple?). So perhaps a jacket would be redundant. Then again, she had all manner of sweaters last year as well and this still got a whole lot of use…
hmmm, hmmm, hmmm……
I think I’m going to see how the next couple of projects go before I decide.
p.s. I haven’t forgotten about your questions on my last homeschooling post. I actually replied to them all and then managed to lose the entire reply before it was actually posted. The last couple of days have been quite busy and I haven’t had a chance to come back to it again.
can’t wait to see your next creation for her! i LOVE that yellow
