{this moment} – A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.
If you’re inspired to do the same, leave a link to your ‘moment’ in the comments for all to find and see. ~Amanda Soule

Breaking the “this moment” rules just a bit here to mention that we are home. Home to so many changes in the short while we were gone. Long sleeves that seem startling to us after our many sweltering days away. So many things in bloom now that weren’t when we left. Galen went out and gathered enough flowers to fill the house, before we even managed to unpack the car. The blackberries ripened while we were away and the boys baked a pie with a basketful gathered this morning.
It’s good to be home.
What a fabulous moment! So fun!
Our moment this week comes from waiting for my grandfather to arrive. This is the second time the girls have met their great grandfather and the waiting for his arrival was the hardest part (but provided this beautiful moment)!

Have a great weekend and welcome home!
Oh too cute.
Welcome home, Melody! And yes, we’re into long sleeves now too, even wool sweaters and a hat on the baby in the mornings outside, New England fall is in the air! Oh, the best time of year.
The best time of year, it’s true! But I’m still not quite sure that I’m ready for it. It seems to have crept up awfully quick.
Cute photo! Had a question for you too, Melody. Do you remember the website that you ordered woolens from last year for Galen? I took your advice and ordered from the same company (out of Canada) and I would like to get some more for this year.
Thanks and welcome Prince Autumn (even if you do come awfully early for this Texas girl!)
