Thinly slice your yams and coat them with oil and spices. You can also peel them before slicing, but I never bother. This time I used chili powder and ginger and that was a particularly pleasant flavor combination. Don’t forget the salt. Arrange them in a single layer on a cookie sheet (or cookie sheets, if you are making many). Bake at 450 until they are browned on one side, maybe 15 minutes? Flip them and cook until brown all over.
