Last night he finished writing his first letter ever. He’s very excited. It’s too a little girl his age who lives in Australia.

While I promise in the future not to post all of my son’s personal correspondences, this was just too cute! And he was happy to share.

This is what he wrote:

DEAR CLAIRE,

MY NAME IS IAIN. TOMORROW IS MY BIRTHDAY. I WILL BE 7. I AM GOING ICE SKAING. IT IS VERY FUN.

I HAVE 2 BROTHERS. ONE IS NAMED ELIJAH AND ONE IS NAMED GALEN. GALEN IS A BABY. WE CALL HIM GOOZEL. MY BROTHER ELIJAH IS 4. HE IS COMING SKATING TOO.

WE LIVE IN A LITTLE HOUSE IN THE WOODS WITH 5 WINDOWS.

I AM SENDING YOU SOME PICTURES. HAVE A HAPPY HOLIDAY.

He included one of our holiday cards that has a picture of all three boys. He also drew her a picture of a woodpecker and every kind of squirrel he could think of (black, red, gray, and flying). He wanted to show her want some of the animals that live near us were like.
