We had some miserable little people last night. Poor Elijah had horrible leg cramps that kept him up and in pain until late into the night. They were all fussy and uncomfortable. Then this morning? Everyone was fine! Perfectly normal…. Galen still had a mild runny nose, but otherwise…
I was going a bit stir crazy today. It’s been two weeks since we’ve left the property for any reason and it was just another dark gray day trapped inside with our shiny foil walls. We did some housekeeping. Getting everything straightened up helped a bit. There is now a 6′ long blue whale made of paper hanging over our front door.
Steve came back from doing the grocery shopping with a bunch of purple tulips and a bunch of yellow daffodils to add a little cheer for my birthday week. They are so pleasant and spring like. I’ve been dreaming of spring time and flowers, of laying on the warm earth and just drinking in their scent. We’ve been planning our gardens and I’m longing to be out creating them.
Iain had a big day. He lost his second tooth and he’s first letter from his pen pal came. Her letter was a big hit with everyone and she even sent pictures too!
Before bed we thought we found two possible “spots”, nothing definitive yet though. There has been a lot of tossing and turning tonight. Iain was just down for a drink of water and he seems to have developed a fever since bed time.
I’m exhausted, but I have to wait for Iain and Elijah to fall back asleep so that I can sneak up and do the tooth fairy thing.
Elijah currently has a button, provided by Iain, under his pillow. I think we’ve read “One Morning in Maine” a few too many times! So it looks like I will be taking a double dip into my stash of crystals and such. I think tonight we will go with one tiger’s eye and one snowflake obsidian. Iain left his tooth on top of his wonder book. Perhaps a visit from the rhyme elves is in order. I found a tooth fairy poem on-line that I can adapt. We’ll see how long it takes them to fall asleep!
