Two of the roses, however, were not scheduled to arrive until Wednesday (today!). The third is on back-order until next year, so I will have something to look forward to for next spring.
“What would Mother’s Day be with no roses?” queried my husband, bearing a bouquet of 18 long-stemmed roses and pastel shades, “because the others will be late”.
Then there was the breakfast brought to me and the plants moved about the garden at my whim and a bonfire in the evening and the beautiful handmade paper journal that my sister brought, and a tablecloth and set of napkins from my mother (I scolded her for giving me a present. She claims that she found them on sale and Mother’s Day was just an excuse to give them to me.).
Oh, but that is not all, there were also these..
Bedding, made by Elijah for my doll. Remember my doll?
She looks quite cozy, doesn’t she?
And from Iain there was a box.
And in this box there was a pouch.
And in this pouch there was a bracelet…
and this tiny, little “bead gnome”.
If your Mother’s Day was half as splendid as mine, then you made out alright. I hope that each and every one of you had a wonderful one!
I’m all about the “bead gnome.” Seriously. All about it.
Well, if you come to visit, you might just go home with one of your own made by Iain original…but I may have to be the one to give it to you, because apparently “Iains are shy of Mollies”, or so I am told…
