This project idea actually came from Iain, but the results were pretty neat, so I thought I would share!
Last week Iain finished his water color painting before the other children. I’m not sure what inspired him, but he started taking strips of toilet paper and laying them out on the paint board. Then he would use the colored water from rinsing brushes to wet each piece down before applying another layer. On some of them he used a bit of paint too. The other kids were fascinated by this and soon joined in. They continued to add layers until the “paper” seemed like it would be thick and sturdy once dry. I’m pleased to say that it turned out quite nice! They were very excited to have created their own home-made colored paper.
