The last week and a half posed a monumental struggle for me with keeping the house warm. I kid you not, there was a day when Elijah spilled some water on the floor and failed to clean it up, by the time I came across it it had froze. Yes, froze. A couple of days later and it’s hard to resist the urge to start searching for crocuses. It’s madness I tell you! What’s next? Plagues of frogs and locusts?? Not that I’m knocking the nice weather! No, no, not me! I’m loving it just as much, if not more, then everyone else. I’ve just got this unsettling feeling of waiting for the other boot to drop. Like you never know what might happen next…
For the time being our record amounts of snow is rapidly metamorphosing into copious amounts of eerie, pleasantly spine-tingling mist….
It hangs thick, hugging the trees and houses, swirling in the breeze, tucking itself into all manner of nooks and crannies and filling out every hollow. I secretly relish the sensation of being lost in the mist…
It’s getting dark now. I think I’ll go back to sitting quietly with my knitting…
but you better believe I’ll be keeping an eye of the window beside me!
