Thank you everyone for your concern! Galen woke up at around 5:30, the morning of his birthday, demanding food and drink and “na-na” (nursing). He had all three and was fine from that point on. We still canceled our trip to the aquarium. And it sounds like it was a good thing! Turns out there was a record number of people there that day. Which wouldn’t have worked at all for us!
The little bub and I spent the better part of the day crashed out on the futon. Later in the day we brought all of the gifts to him on said futon. He seemed mightily pleased with his gifts (details to come). So, I guess his birthday wasn’t a total bust after-all. When you factor in the little celebration we had when my parents and sisters came the weekend before, well I think that he got a pretty good start for year three.
